Cabinet of Curiosity has been invited by the University of Chicago to develop a safe, interactive, campus-wide pageant celebrating the return of spring and the power of hope. Frank is developing project collaborations with Jimmy Grimes, Ellie Terrell, John Bell, Blair Thomas, Brandin Hurley, The University’s theatre and arts program, 100 students, plus.
The event includes larger than life masks, original poetry, and student composed music. Outdoors and COVID responsible.
In collaboration with the School of the Art Institute, Frank Maugeri worked with 11 students from around the world to imagine, design and hand make a mask which reflected their personal sense of safety and protection in 2020. Those Images were developed into posters and pasted throughout Chicago as a COVID safe art expression and public art campaign.
